Funny story: I was actually booked for this project partially based on the writing on my site being not like everyone else’s – WIN.

I have to say, I’m kind of honored because this beautiful site and brand belong to a writer who is kind of a big deal. Just cruise through Kat Boogaard’s new site and see all the places she’s been published like Time and Forbes and a bunch of others. She’s a kick ass freelance writer who also mentors up-and-coming freelancers and offers career advice as her forté.

I totally love how her entire full branding came together – it almost designed itself, and can we talk about all the fun hand drawn office pens, pencils, paperclips and fun little items that she has going on? Love it! Here’s a peek at a mockup of some potential printed products that shows how all of the little pieces can work together to create an awesome brand:

With Kat’s custom website design, we really wanted it to be fun and quirky and really capture Kat’s personality. It was a little different for me showcasing writing over something visual like photography, but I absolutely loved finding interesting ways to display Kat’s writing portfolio.
